Bureau of Land Management
Managing Nevada’s 48 million acres that belong to the American people. Access to wide open spaces is in the fiber of Nevada history.
US Forest Service
At over 6 million acres, The US Forest Service has a comparatively small footprint of managed Public Lands in Nevada, Yet some of the best mapped OHV trails and routes are in that small footprint.
Bureau of Reclamation
The Bureau of Reclamation is best known for the dams, powerplants, and canals it constructed in the 17 western states. These water projects led to homesteading and promoted the economic development of the West. Reclamation has constructed more than 600 dams and reservoirs including Hoover Dam on the Colorado River and Grand Coulee on the Columbia River.
Nevada State Parks
The Nevada Division of State Parks was founded when, during the 1963 session of the Nevada Legislature, a bill was passed to form a new state park agency within the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR).
